Central Darfur — Relief Care Alliance (RCA) continues to deepen its commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes across Sudan. In a recent strategic engagement, the RCA Central Darfur team met with the Director General of the State Ministry of Health to explore opportunities for collaboration in health and nutrition initiatives across the region.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships to deliver more effective health interventions, especially in vulnerable and underserved communities in Central Darfur. With a shared vision of reducing suffering and addressing public health gaps, both parties emphasized the importance of synergy between humanitarian organizations and government institutions.

“This engagement marks a critical step toward aligning our efforts with the Ministry of Health,” said a representative from RCA. “Together, we can expand the reach and quality of services to those who need them most.”

During the visit, RCA’s team presented its ongoing programs, including community-based nutrition support, maternal and child health outreach, and health education efforts in displacement-affected areas. The Ministry responded positively, noting the potential for enhanced coordination and joint programming to respond to the region’s evolving health needs.

The discussions also touched on future collaboration in capacity building for healthcare workers, support for mobile clinics, and the integration of RCA’s community health education programs into the Ministry’s broader public health strategy.

RCA believes that building trust and coordination with government bodies is essential to creating sustainable, long-term impact in health and nutrition. As Central Darfur continues to face challenges from conflict, displacement, and limited infrastructure, partnerships like this pave the way for innovative solutions and better resource management.

This visit reinforces RCA’s commitment to locally rooted, government-aligned interventions that prioritize dignity, efficiency, and resilience in service delivery. The organization looks forward to continued dialogue and joint action with the Ministry in the months ahead.
