Research and Advocacy

At Relief Care Alliance (RCA), evidence drives action. Through our Research and Advocacy program, we aim to deepen understanding, shape informed policies, and amplify the voices of vulnerable populations—including refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and marginalized communities affected by conflict, displacement, and disaster.

We believe that humanitarian and development efforts must be guided by credible data, community perspectives, and an unwavering commitment to human rights and inclusion. RCA’s dual approach—grounded in field-based research and proactive advocacy—ensures that the needs and aspirations of at-risk populations are at the forefront of local, national, and global agendas.

Research That Informs and Inspires

RCA conducts targeted, participatory research across various sectors—protection, health, education, livelihoods, and more—to better understand the realities of those we serve. Our research is action-oriented, designed to guide programming, improve service delivery, and influence policy.

Key research activities include:

  • Needs assessments and baseline studies in displacement and crisis-affected areas
  • strong data-start=”1423″ data-end=”1445″>Impact evaluations to measure the effectiveness of RCA interventions
  • Contextual analysis on gender dynamics, youth vulnerability, access to services, and social inclusion
  • Community consultations and participatory mapping to capture lived experiences and identify gaps

Our findings are used to inform both our internal strategies and the work of our partners, donors, and policymakers—ensuring that aid efforts are both relevant and accountable.

Advocacy for Rights, Inclusion, and Change

RCA is a vocal advocate for the protection, dignity, and inclusion of the world’s most vulnerable people. Through coordinated advocacy efforts at the national, regional, and international levels, we work to influence humanitarian policies, funding priorities, and legal frameworks that impact displaced and marginalized populations.

Our advocacy initiatives include:

  • Policy briefings, position papers, and public awareness campaigns
  • Engagement with governments, UN agencies, and regional bodies
  • Participation in international forums and coalitions to elevate grassroots perspectives
  • Legal and policy advocacy for refugee rights, access to services, and non-discrimination

We are especially committed to elevating the voices of affected communities, enabling them to speak on their own behalf, shape the narratives that define them, and demand accountability from those in power.

Driving Policy Through Evidence and Voice

By combining robust research with strategic advocacy, RCA bridges the gap between field realities and decision-making platforms. We strive to create a world where vulnerable populations are not just protected—but empowered, heard, and included in building the solutions that affect their lives.

At RCA, we don’t just respond—we inform, influence, and lead.
